Winemaker(s): Beatriz Papamija & Étienne Le Blanc — a Colombian–French duo farming a tiny walled clos organically, exploring the full spectrum of Cabernet Franc through low-intervention winemaking.

Winemaking: Direct-press Cabernet Franc, slow native-yeast fermentation, bottled early as pét-nat, one year on lees, unfined, unfiltered.

Name Meaning: “Espumoso” means “sparkling.” “Kixhaya” comes from the Nasa language of Colombia, combining the words for “vine” and “water.” 

Interesting Fact: The entire estate is a fully walled clos with vines up to 90 years old — unusually old vine material for Loire pét-nat.

Serve With: Goat’s cheese, smoked salmon, shellfish, tapas, fruit-led desserts.
