Wine and Cheese Tasting - Meet the Maker: Dorli Muhr - 29th April | 7.30pm | KASK North St.
We’re buzzing to welcome Dorli Muhr for her debut pouring at the bar: a chance to try her wines for the very first time, with the person who made them standing right there.
This one's niche: it's all about Blaufrankisch, one of our favourite Reds. And these ones are pretty serious ones at that (hint - we can only afford to pour these wines on a tasting as we've nabbed a deal from Dorli's importer)
Dorli works out of Spitzerberg, a wild, wind-swept spot between the Alps and the Carpathians. It’s tough going - dry, exposed, low yields - but that’s exactly what makes these wines hit different.
You’ll taste three Blaufränkisch side by side, plus a Blaufränkisch + Syrah blend - all showing just how much depth and detail this grape (and this place) can give. Expect wines with lift, structure, and real finesse: silky, mineral, and with that kind of length that just keeps going.
She’ll be pouring all four, talking you through each one as you go. Four reds, one place, one winemaker, and a great intro to a producer we’re very excited about.
And as we promise at least five wines on all our tastings, we'll get you in the mood with a welcome fizz on arrival (not Dorli's - she's all about the Red)
