RedNero di TroiaSangioveseNellamiaterra Rosso by Antica Enotria
Location: Cerignola, Foggia, Puglia, Italy
Grapes: Nero di Troia & Sangiovese
Style: Organic Southern Italian Red | Soft, Fresh, Mediterranean
medium-bodied, fresh but full | cherry, black cherry, plum | pepper, walnut, thyme
Winemaker(s): Antica Enotria – a 40-hectare family estate rooted in organic farming since 1993. Run by the Di Tuccio family, who transformed a derelict farmhouse into a working winery, cellar and agricultural hub. Pioneers of organic viticulture in Puglia, producing wine, vegetables
and preserves with the same deep connection to land and season.
Winemaking: Manual harvest; destemmed and gently pressed in a traditional pigiadiraspatrice. Eight-day fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature; seven months ageing in steel. Minimal fining with bentonite and egg white; coarse filtration; small amount of sulphur at bottling.
Name Meaning: “Nella Mia Terra” — “in my land” — a tribute to deep family roots, organic farming and working fully in harmony with their own soil.
Interesting Fact: The vineyards sit just 60 m above sea level on clay-limestone with gravel and alluvial stones — refreshed by Tramontana and Scirocco winds and influenced by nearby salt pans, which lend a subtle savoury edge.
Serve With: Salumi, orecchiette with turnip tops, tomato-based pasta, grilled vegetables, pizza.
When to drink at Christmas: When you’ve got guests and need a red that will impress but won’t break the bank – this is a real crowd pleaser
